Step 1. Look at my website!
Under work, you can find a variety of images related to the types of photography that I specialize in.
You can also read reviews to learn more about previous client experiences.
Step 2. Reach out!
Email or text me to request a free, 15-minute phone or video consultation, no strings attached.
Step 3. Book a shoot!
You can secure your spot by paying a deposit, which will go toward the final invoice. If applicable, model releases should be signed during this step.
Step 4. Enjoy the shoot!
I pride myself in making my clients feel comfortable and providing an experience tailored to a client’s needs.
Step 5: Image Delivery!
I will share the images with you online, where you may download them. If prints were discussed, those will be delivered, too! Before final image delivery, you’ll need to pay the full invoice for the shoot. My pricing is transparent–you’ll know what to expect ahead of time.
Step 6 (Optional): Write a Review!
Please share how your experience was. This allows me to learn what is working, what might need work, and how to be the best photographer that I can be. Plus, online reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations are the backbone of running a successful photography business. Your review would be appreciated immensely–more than you know!
Pricing
My general digital photography commission rate is $75 per hour. Studio photography sessions (located in Portland, M.E.) are $115 per hour. This differs from 35mm portrait sessions, which are priced as various packages. Pet photography is also priced in packages.
For each hour of time spent shooting, I spend an hour editing. I also have a two-hour minimum. So, the minimum amount of time spent shooting that you can book is one hour (except for mini-sessions, which are a special case!)
For example, a 1-hour outdoor shoot would cost $150, and a 2-hour outdoor shoot would cost $300.
A 1-hour studio shoot would cost $230, and a 2-hour studio shoot would cost $460. I value being upfront with my pricing so clients know what to expect.
Mini-sessions are 30 minutes and can be shot either on location ($130) or in a downtown Portland, Maine lighting studio ($170). On-location shoots beyond a 30-mile radius of Saco, Maine may result in an additional fee.
If you have special editing requests, this may affect pricing. A perfect time to discuss this would be during our consultation. I am also a graphic designer. I charge a $75/hour hourly rate for graphic design services and can combine the two (photography and graphic design) upon request.
If you have not worked with a professional photographer in the past, the hourly rate might surprise you. I wrote a brief article on this topic that might offer you some clarity.
